We’re excited for our ongoing partnership with The History Center Lake Forest Lake Bluff, adding accessibility and translation to their amazing exhibits.
Currently on display through October 2025 is the exhibition “Behind the Glamour: Inside (and Outside) F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Lake Forest”.
In support of this, The History Center has planned a fantastic lineup of Fitzgerald-inspired exhibits and events celebrating the 100th anniversary of “The Great Gatsby”!
🥂 TOMORROW (May 15): “An Evening Bistro Experience with Zelda Fitzgerald” – Few seats remain for this immersive 1920s bistro experience featuring historic re-enactor Lynn Rymarz as Zelda Fitzgerald, complete with period cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
🎂 May 31: “J.V. Farwell 200th Birthday Cocktail Party” – Honor Lake Forest’s founding father with signature refreshments, family descendants, and rare artifacts on display.
🚲 June 7 & 11: “Lake Forest by Bike” – Explore the charming neighborhoods that inspired Fitzgerald with board member Jim Phelps on these leisurely historic bike tours.
🏛️ June 14: “A Gatsby Affair: King House Cocktail Party” – An exclusive opportunity to visit the actual Lake Forest home of Ginevra King, Fitzgerald’s muse and inspiration for his writings! Limited to 100 guests.
📚 June 18: Author Sash Bischoff discusses her debut novel “Sweet Fury” and its connection to Fitzgerald’s work.
